Hair has always been part of Tessa Glenn’s story. Growing up in the salon world with a dad who owned a salon, she was surrounded by the industry long before she ever imagined building a career of her own.

After becoming a single mom, Tessa took a leap and enrolled in hair school, graduating in 2009. A few years later, in 2012, she began discovering the art and science of curly hair—and what started as a growing passion eventually became the Curl Whisperer.

Tessa believes great hair starts with understanding the hair you naturally have, not fighting against it. Her love for natural products, healthy hair, and helping clients embrace their unique texture has shaped the way she approaches every person who sits in her chair.

But The Curl Whisperer has been built on more than curls. It has been built through hard work, grit, genuine connection, and Tessa’s commitment to loving people well. She has continued to believe in what she was creating, even when the path wasn’t always easy, and that perseverance has shaped both the stylist and business owner she is today.

More than a decade into specializing in curls, one of Tessa’s favorite parts of her work is still watching someone begin to understand their hair differently. Whether she’s teaching a client how to care for their curls, helping them find products that actually work, or giving them a cut that allows their natural texture to shine, her goal is simple: to help people feel confident in—and genuinely love—the hair they were born with.

Level I Stylist & Salon Assistant 

Maci Camerer is a Level 1 Stylist and Salon Assistant with a love for creating beautiful, dimensional hair that still feels natural and effortless.

A graduate of New Dimensions School of Hair Design in Joplin, Missouri, Maci has been behind the chair professionally for two years and is continuing to grow her skills, creativity, and experience as a stylist.

She especially loves creating dimensional blondes, lived-in color, and customized styles that complement each client’s individual look. For Maci, doing hair is about more than the finished style—it’s about helping the person in her chair feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely good about themselves.

As she continues developing her craft, Maci is excited to learn, take on new challenges, and build relationships with the clients who trust her with their hair. She brings a fresh perspective, attention to detail, and a genuine enthusiasm for helping every client leave the salon feeling a little more like themselves.
